A Message from Pastor Donna Cassity
Dear Friends of FCCB,

Well, I'm finally getting on my feet and looking forward to sharing God's word with you and praying for the Spirit to guide us in all we do. These are some very trying times we live in and I would have never imagined on January 1, 2020 that I'd be doing church online as a new pastor. But that's where we are now. And along with that are the challenges that this brings in unknown territory.

Along the way, we will need to make changes and be flexible in our approach to ministry. Some of you have asked, "Why we are not gathering names for prayer during the service?" Good question! I have been used to doing that in the past myself, but over the summer the UCC advised us not to do that. There have been problems with sharing personal information about the identity of someone who may be sick or suffering in some way across the nation. Personally, I would not want to expose someone to the public at large in this way. So to keep it simple, we will collect prayers to the office and they will be privy only to members via email, but not spoken aloud during service.

I hope you can understand, but don't worry, prayers will still happen for those requesting it. A habit I've had is to have the prayer list in front of me so that I can pray throughout the week.

Hopefully, we will also be bringing a Wednesday night devotional and mid-week prayer on Facebook Live, so stay tuned!

Blessings,
Pastor Donna
Trustees would like to ask for your help and/or to be on a temporary committee to establish safe protocols for re-starting in person worship services.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact David Nobles , dnobles21@gmail.com

Specific items to be addressed can be brought forward to me as well, even if you do not care to be on this committee.

The committee would meet via zoom as needed in the upcoming weeks,

We are all in this together and want to do everything in our power to see a safe and viable solution for In person worship.

Thank you
