Annapolis Striders Training/Education

Update from Bob Moseley,

VP of Training and Education

athletic_running_shoes.jpg

As winter comes to a close so do our (FREE!) winter training groups. Our winter 5k class put their training to the test at the Valentine’s Day 5k in February, and our Half Marathon training group will wrap up with the running of the B&A Half Marathon at the end of March. Moving into the spring, Apri, will bring the start of 2 new training groups. Our Spring 5k and Spring 10k training, targeting the Women’s Distance Festival 5k and Dawson’s Father’s Day 10k respectively. Keep an eye out for training group registration to open in the coming days.

If you are interested in helping coach these programs or our Summer A10 or Fall Marathon groups, email elizabethn@annapolisstriders.org for more information.

JUNE

The Crofton Kiwanis Club and Foundation annual community 10K and 5K races Saturday, June 13th, 2026

The races start at 8 AM at the Crofton Country Club. The certified 10K course includes a great tour around our tree-lined community with some challenging hills and is a good tune-up for fall marathon training or even first time 10K participants. The 5K course goes completely around Crofton Parkway and is about 3.4 miles. All profits from these races are put towards the many community charities that the Crofton Kiwanis Foundation supports.
