Valentine’s 5K RESCHEDULED!

New race date:

Saturday, February 21st, 2026

In case you had not yet heard, our Valentine’s 5K, originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 14th, has been postponed due to the lingering ice and snow covering the paths at Kinder Farm Park. We have been able to reschedule the race for the following Saturday, February 21st, so we hope you’ll be able to join us!

The 10 AM start time remains the same.

Owing to the postponement, we’ve extended registration for the Valentine’s 5K, the eight-race 2026 Championship Series, and the four-race Shorter Races Bundle! Online sign-up for all three will now close on Wednesday, February 18th at 11:59pm.

Annapolis 10 Mile Run

Sunday, August 30th, 2026

Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Registration for the 51st annual Annapolis Ten Mile Run is OPEN!

Surprise!!! The huge turnout at last year’s wildly successful 50th annual Annapolis Ten Mile Run got us so jazzed that we just couldn’t wait until April to open registration for the 51st A-10, scheduled for Sunday, August 30th. Sign up at RunSignup.com/A10! Complete 2026 race details can be found there as well.

And throughout the month of February, you’ll be able to take advantage of our low early-bird $65 entry fee (plus processing), with Annapolis Striders members once again receiving a whopping $10 discount! This is a fantastic deal, so don’t miss out. And be sure to spread the word among your running friends!

HELP WANTED:  More than 1,100 people have already signed up for the 2026 A-10, and we are looking for a few more volunteers to help us on the A-10 Race Committee. If you've ever wanted to get more involved, now is your chance! No past experience is required. A full list of available roles is available here. Email race director Rose Dziedzic at a10@annapolisstriders.org with any questions or to get involved!

Road Runners Club of America Convention

The RRCA 68th National Convention will be held in Arlington, VA, from April 9-12, 2026, coinciding with the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Race, featuring education, networking for running leaders, coaches, and race directors, plus guaranteed race entry. Their Level 1 Coaching certification course will also take place in person that weekend. The Annapolis Striders have a training reimbursement program for folks who are willing to coach our training groups, so please reach out to president@annapolisstriders.org if you are interested.

46th Annual RRCA CLUB CHALLENGE 10M

8:00am Sunday, February 22nd, 2026

Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland

Represent the Annapolis Striders in the RRCA Club Challenge! This is a race EXCLUSIVE to RRCA running clubs (such as the Annapolis Striders) in Maryland and Washington, D.C., and NOT open to the public. The fastest runners from our club in each event contribute to scoring. Events include overall men/women/co-ed, Under 40 men/women, Masters men/women, Grand Masters men/women, as well as overall individual awards.

If you are a current member of the Annapolis Striders, use the link below with the team code RRCA000AS. Registration is open until end of day, February 12th to club members ONLY. You must be able to run at least a 13mpm pace on a hilly course. The course gun time limit is 2 hours 10 minutes. The Annapolis Striders do not supplement the $35 registration (+$3.86 service fee) of the initial race entry, but those who register and show up on race day will be reimbursed $20 CASH. Additionally, there are a very limited number of Annapolis Striders team shirts left from last year (Women’s XS, S, M and Men’s L, XL, 2XL). If you did not receive one already and we have your size, you will also get a team shirt. Do not use form fill…we have multiple instances in the past where someone uses form fill on their emergency contact, and it changes their entry record to also be that of the emergency contact.

RRCA CLUB CHALLENGE 10M

Arrive early (6:50am – 7:40am) for bib pick up and a team photo (7:30am). The gymnasium is complete, so we are no longer in a tent! For any questions email our team captain: casey@annapolisstriders.org

Not interested in running the 10 miles? Better yet come to volunteer and cheer on your fellow Annapolis Striders. To volunteer check the race website.

Sunday, March 29th

Registration Is Open

Registration is now open for the 2026 edition of the Annapolis Striders B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon. The 2026 edition of this event will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The races will once again start and finish at Severna Park High School.  For more information, go to B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon.

VOLUNTEER

B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon – Volunteer Opportunities

This year’s edition of the B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, starting and finishing at Severna Park High School. Although race day is drawing near, select volunteer opportunities remain available. If you act now, one of these coveted volunteer positions could be yours.

Truck Crew – I would like two or three of my fellow Striders to serve as the truck crew for this year’s event. Duties would include delivering supplies to the six aid stations on the course, and then, once the races are over, picking up the supplies and hauling them back to the storage facility on West Street. As with all our volunteer positions, no prior experience is needed.

Aid Station Staffing – I have a need for volunteers to staff two of the Aid Stations on the racecourse. Specifically, I need volunteers to staff Aid Station #3, which is on the B&A Trail just north of Robinson Road, and Aid Station #4, which is on the B&A Trail just north of Earleigh Heights Road. Each of these Aid Stations is on the marathon-only portion of the racecourse and the marathoners will pass each of the Aid Stations twice.

To claim one of these volunteer positions, please contact Tom Lyden at toml@annapolisstriders.org.

Winter Half Marathon Training

This program will offer 2 training plans. Our beginner plan will lead you from your first week long run of 5 miles to the start line of your half marathon feeling fit and confident. Our intermediate plan will challenge your cardiovascular and muscular system with the introduction of structured tempo and interval work. Pick the plan that's right for your goals. Training plans started on 12/29/2025 with our target race, the B&A Trail Half Marathon, being held on 3/29/2026. Race registration and payment is not included with the training and must be done separately.

Plans will be emailed and can be completed on your own, but we would love to see everyone at our one or both or our two weekly group runs on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Our two primary meeting locations will be Severna Park High School and the Jones Station Park and Ride. Make sure to sign up and check your weekly coaching emails for details.

JUNE

The Crofton Kiwanis Club and Foundation annual community 10K and 5K races Saturday, June 13th, 2026

The races start at 8 AM at the Crofton Country Club. The certified 10K course includes a great tour around our tree-lined community with some challenging hills and is a good tune-up for fall marathon training or even first time 10K participants. The 5K course goes completely around Crofton Parkway and is about 3.4 miles. All profits from these races are put towards the many community charities that the Crofton Kiwanis Foundation supports.
