Safety Training Spotlight:

Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (IMOT) 

9/18-19/2023 | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This course is required for those who set up, maintain, inspect, or design work zones or traffic control devices. Upon successful completion of this 16-hour course students will receive a laminated wallet card and a certificate of completion. This certification is valid for four years at which time a refresher course will be required to remain in compliance with FDOT standards. Additionally, IMOT certified personnel may conduct Basic Flagger training.

OSHA requires employers to provide their employees with a safe environment to work. In the event an emergency situation arises, most employers must have an emergency action plan that describes how employees are expected to react. All employees must be trained on these written plans, which list emergency contacts and procedures like reporting fires or other emergencies, evacuation, and rescue/medical operations.

With SafeTapp, you can log into your account using your BIStrainer username and password and download all your training certificates. Once downloaded to the app, your certificates will be available to you offline. SafeTapp also provides the ability to upload historical training records, including copies of your certificates, directly into your account using your mobile device so that these training records will sync with your BIStrainer account.
