Mentors Needed! Sign up by Friday, April 4th!

One of the best parts of the financial planning profession is the collaborative culture that exists within the industry. Often, we hear stories of altered career paths or lifelong friendships resulting from an introduction at a conference or other industry event. The FPA of Michigan desires to participate in promoting collaborative and supportive relationships for the next generation of industry talent and to do this, we have created the FPA of Michigan Mentorship Program.

The goal of the Mentorship Program is to connect FPA Members with students who aspire to pursue a career in financial planning. The program allows the mentor to provide the mentee with “real world” advice and educate them on the different career paths available to financial professionals. Mentees will look to their mentors as a sounding board as they begin to navigate their financial planning careers.

Mentors and mentees will meet in-person or remotely three times between April and October and mentors will be invited to the student’s final capstone financial planning presentations at their schools. If you're interested in learning more about the program, click here to learn the next steps!
