OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI

Dear SRS Parents,
I look forward to welcoming all our parents tonight or Thursday at our Back to School Nights. Due to our large student body tonight is for parents with children in kindergarten through grade 5 and Thursday for parents with children in Middle School.  We will begin at 6:00 with the State of the School Presentation. Classroom visits will follow.

Pick-up in the afternoon is going much more quickly now that our teachers have become more familiar with their students and parents. If someone other than a parent is picking your child up, please notify your child’s teacher in writing. A crossing guard is stationed out in front of the school on Gilles Road and parents and students are asked to cross in the designated crosswalks when walking to your car. Cars parking in the no parking zones on Gilles Road, Edgemere and Dessa Drive are creating a safety hazard especially for emergency vehicles. Please be advised that the Hamden PD will ticket cars which do not follow the posted regulations.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. I am looking forward to seeing you all this week at our Back to School Nights. Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Have a great week.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi
Principal

Does Your Company Offer Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work.
Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.

Please take a moment and ask if your employer participates in a Volunteer Grants Program. Your time and talent at St. Rita School could turn into dollars for our school! Questions? Feel free to contact Joanne Bruno at  jbruno.stritaschool@gmail.com .
