2025 Bids for Kids Update:

Our new desks and science lab tables have arrived. Thanks to the continued support of our school and parish families, the old and damaged desks and lab tables from the old school building have been replaced with new, updated furniture. Everything will be ready to go for the beginning of the next school year.

2025-2026 Staff Update:

I am happy to introduce our new staff members who will be joining our team as of the 2025-2026 school year. Please join me in welcoming them to the St. Gabriel Parish School family.

Ms. Kelly Roloff - K4 Teacher (kroloff@sgabriel.org)

Ms. Silvia Schilling - Grades 1-8 Spanish Teacher (sschilling@sgabriel.org)

Ms. Traci Zupke - Teacher/RtI Interventionist (tzupke@sgabriel.org)

I would also like to announce a couple of changes with our current teaching staff. As of next year, Mr. DeMers will be taking on the 8th grade homeroom, middle school Math, and middle school Science teaching positions. Mrs. Wasserman will continue teaching art and will also be teaching music next year.

They are both excited to take on these new roles and will be preparing over the summer. We appreciate their hard work and dedication to St. Gabriel. Please help me in welcoming and supporting them in their new roles.

We have begun a search for an Assistant Director for our After-School Learning Program. This person would assist Mrs. McAleer in managing after-school care each school day from 3:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

We are also looking for a kitchen assistant to work one day a week (Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) to help cook, serve, and clean up the kitchen during our lunch hour. No experience needed, training will be provided. This position is paid hourly. Please contact Lanae Weyer (lweyer@sgabriel.org) if you are interested.

Kibagare Care Packages Delivered with Love:

We are thrilled to share that the 13 care packages prepared by our 8th-grade students have safely arrived in the Kibagare Slums of Kenya!

Filled with gently used clothing, shoes, and soccer gear, these boxes brought tremendous joy to the children who received them. The photos we received show the gratitude and happiness on their faces—a beautiful reminder of what can happen when faith and service come together.

This project was part of the 8th-grade year-end service initiative, which aimed to demonstrate Christ’s love in action.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our school families, parishioners, and local businesses whose donations and support helped make this global outreach possible.

Together, we are not only helping others in need—we are also forming disciples who understand what it means to live out the Gospel with compassion and purpose.
