Safe Environment Awareness Week:

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee recognizes March 30th–April 6th as Safe Environment Awareness Week. Each year in the month of April, which is recognized around the country as child abuse prevention month, we dedicate a week to elevating the general awareness of the Church’s efforts to keep our children safe. We want people to know that we are committed to maintaining safe environments in our parishes and schools through adult child abuse prevention training; criminal background checks for all clergy, volunteers working with minors, and employees; safety training for children in each grade level; and adhering to all mandatory reporting requirement laws.

8th Grade Service Project – Dream, Laugh, Love

Our 8th graders have launched a meaningful service project to support the Kibagare Slums in Kenya. Through their initiative, “Dream, Laugh, Love,” they are collecting gently used clothing, shoes, and soccer equipment to bring hope and joy to those in need.

Their goal is to send 10 boxes to Kenya before the end of the school year, and we need your help to make it happen!

This project reflects the compassion and generosity we strive to instill in our students. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Please consider donating and supporting this important cause. Every contribution—big or small—can have a lasting impact!

Collection begins – April 14, 2025

Collection Ends – May 9, 2025

IN THE CLASSROOMS

That’s a wrap on our final DI Instant Challenge of the year!

This week, our creative students designed and built edible homes for their “peeps” using only the materials provided. It was amazing to see their imaginations come to life — and the best part? They got to enjoy their delicious creations afterward!

A huge thank you to all the students who participated in our DI club this year. Your enthusiasm and problem-solving skills were inspiring! A special thanks to 5th-grade teacher, Mrs. Burns, and RtI Teacher, Mrs. Kohls, for leading this fun and educational program.

Stay tuned for more details about forming a DI competition team next year — we can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you next!

Our recent Spirit Group, Care for God's Creation, had the pleasure of welcoming the Wildlife In Need Center. Since 1994, they’ve been dedicated to connecting people and wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and research.

It was an amazing experience to learn about their important work and how we can all play a part in caring for God’s beautiful creation.

PARISH NEWS

SECURITY UPDATE:

For some time, we have been dedicated to enhancing security measures at our school to ensure a safe environment for our children. Now, we are extending these efforts to our parish buildings to provide the same level of safety for our staff and parishioners. This is a long-term project that will require collaboration and careful planning. As we begin, we are implementing simple, cost-effective changes that will immediately enhance security.

New Security Measures – Effective Weekend of April 5/6:

  • Weekend Masses: Exterior doors to the church will be locked at the completion of the Psalm. Doors will be reopened between Masses.
  • Wednesday Weekday Masses: Exterior doors will be locked when the readings begin.

We recognize that these changes may require some adjustment, and we appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work together to make our parish a safer place for all. Thank you for your support!

Donations will benefit St. Vincent de Paul on Holy Thursday
Donations will benefit the Holy Land on Good Friday

Please return your old palms in the basket in the Gathering Space so they can be burned in the Easter Vigil Fire.
