Luis D. Carrillo

he/him

Major: Accounting

Everyone meet Luis! Luis is one of our Transfer mentors here in Commuter Life and is currently a fourth year studying Accounting. Luis commutes every day to campus from Clairemont Mesa by car. Luis says he likes to get here early so he can hang out in the library and get away from home for a little bit before classes. One of Luis' favorite spots on campus to hang out is the 5th floor of the library because it's quiet, relaxing, and just an overall peaceful environment to be in. A fun fact about Luis is that he is from Mexicali, Mexico and lived there for 20 years. Luis commuted from Mexicali to school starting in elementary all the way through community college. This would take him anywhere from 40 minutes to two hours. If Luis had to give one piece of advice to you all it would be to enjoy the little things and not take anything for granted. Make sure to come by and say hi to Luis in Commuter Life!
