This Sunday

The 10:00 a.m. worship service, the ONLY service of worship, will be in person in our Sanctuary and also live-streamed to Facebook and YouTube including a Live Chat feature. Free childcare is provided.

Peter Henry will be preaching his sermon, entitled "Alive, Awake, Alert, Enthusiastic," based on Matthew 14:22-33 and 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. The music will be provided by David Brinson and the Music Team.

Sunday School Classes for Adults meet at 9:00 a.m.

Maloney Class will meet in the McLandress Library. Steve Scott teaches on Stephen, An Early Interpreter of Christianity; Acts 6:1–7:60.

Pines Class will meet in the Living Room on the Pines campus. Larry Cain teaches on Stephen, An Early Interpreter of Christianity; Acts 6:1–7:60.

Children's Sunday school will resume September 13^th.

Might God be calling you into service with children? We are recruiting leadership for fall classes. We especially need leaders for our preschool 3’s class, preschool 4’s class, and general substitutes for all ages. Contact Jenny Alexander for more information.

Davidson Presbyterian Church and Davidson College Presbyterian Church invite you to This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song: A Celebration of Music in Worship on August 30, 2026, at DCPC. Led by the Rev. Daniel Heath, Mitzi Nelson, and David Brinson, this intergenerational event will feature congregational singing from 3:30–4:15 p.m., followed by ice cream and fellowship. You are invited to help shape the service by submitting one hymn you hope your grandchildren will sing when they are your age, along with a brief explanation.
