Dear Family in Christ,
Continued Good News in the Life of Christ here at St. Mary's!
"The model for evangelization is this: Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, accept Christ willingly into your life; allow Christ to live and grow and to transform you; then share the Lord wherever God has placed you in this world."

As I am receiving the RSVPs to the installation service on the 25th, I am reflecting back over this past year and remembering all the good people I've met and all who have come through our doors. I am constantly amazed at how discipleship grows and flourishes.
Just today I received two gifts of Thanksgivings from people who were so touched by our services and care, they wanted to reach out and let us know the difference we made in their lives. How wonderful! Two people who will touch the lives of others, who then touch the lives of more. That's what it means to spread the Good News. We are on a good track!
On Wednesday evening, I opened those red doors again to all those walking by. Two gentlemen stopped in who spend their summers in Wildwood, they promised a return for service, a family sat near eating their ice cream and singing along to the music playing from our piano (they stayed even after their ice cream until the music was finished), and another stopped in just grateful as she said, "to be in a church again." How blessed we are to be in service to our Lord and one another again.
The energy and life continue to grow here at St. Mary's!
Blessings,

Reflection Questions:
Can you think of any time in your life that you returned to something you had given up? How did you feel? What made it easy? What made it hard?
Many people find that the church supports a lot of the basic human values they treasure, e.g., family, inner peace, personal dignity, integrity, and hope. What values do you think the church can best support in your life?
If you were to name the most important thing you received from your Christian heritage, what would you say that it was? How do you see that continuing in your present and future life?

Two years ago Branches was fortunate enough to take the children from local motels to a water park for the day. It was a spectacular day and the kids had a blast. Tickets to the water park were donated and we raised enough money to pack a bag lunch for each child and buy ice cream on the boardwalk at the end of the day.
COVID 19 prevented us from doing the same last year. However, thanks to the generosity of a very kind someone, we were able to have a game day and be visited by an ice cream truck.
Thankfully COVID 19 is not preventing us from planning a trip to the water park this year. It is happening on August 10th! The pandemic has made many things more difficult and our plans for this fun day for the kids are no exception. We are going to have to raise the money to make this a reality.
We understand that this is a big undertaking, but at Branches, we always have faith that where there is a will there is a way. If you would like to help us brighten the lives of some great kids there are several ways to do so.
You can send a check made payable to Branches to: 1304 Rt. 47 S, Rio Grande 08242. Please designate for “Water Park.”
You can stop by with a cash donation. Or, go to our website: www.thebranchesoutreach.org and locate the donate button. You may donate through PayPal. Make sure that you designate for “Water Park.”
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your faithful support of our mission at Branches! We are truly grateful.
