Dear Presbytery Family,

Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches.” (John 15:5a). All over the presbytery we are hearing about the ways that our churches and ministries are bearing the fruit of the vine!
  • At our Fall Stated Meeting we will meet several new ministers and hear about ministries throughout our bounds. The meeting will held by Zoom on Tuesday, October 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Click here to link to the registration page and here for the page where the agenda and docket materials will be posted next week.

  • We are accepting applications for our new Ministry and Mission Coordinator position. This link takes you to the “classifieds” page of our website where you will find the job description, the Ministry Information Form (MIF), and the email address for sending inquiries and applications.

  • We are inspired by the ways our churches are using technology in so many facets of their ministry! People are connecting for worship, Bible study, youth and children’s ministries, committee meetings, book clubs, and much more. Some connections that have been virtual are now in-person plus virtual. We are interested in helping to make connections among multiple churches or with the whole presbytery. Examples include virtual pulpit exchange, sponsoring a book study for the whole presbytery, and virtual children’s Sunday School across multiple churches. As we begin to explore the possibilities, you are encouraged to contact Council Member Patti Phillips with your interest and ideas on how to make this happen!

Let us abide in Christ, who abides in us. He is the vine, we are the branches. May we bear the fruit of the true vine with thanksgiving and joy!

Blessings,

Diane Wilson, Chair of Coordinating Council
