A Special Meeting of the Congregation, as required by Canon, to nominate six people to attend a special Convocation Meeting for the Election of the 13th Bishop of New Jersey, is being called and scheduled for Sunday, September 26th following the 9:00 am service.

|
Please make every effort to attend. If you would like to be included in the nomination please reach out to me via email or by phone.
Dear Family in Christ,
Bishop Stokes has released a letter to the people of the diocese announcing his resignation and retirement effective, June of 2023. Here begins our process of discernment for the next Bishop of NJ. I ask for your collective prayers as our diocese discerns our way forward. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
This is an important time for all of our congregations to come together in this period of transition, to envision the possibilities and opportunities of our diocese in the greater Episcopal Church, to envision and express what attributes we'd like to see in our leadership and in our 13th Bishop.
Our ever-changing world sure does provide plenty of obstacles, but Christ transforms our obstacles into new life and growth. All we have to do is recognize and adhere to His call and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
We are grateful to Bishop Stokes' leadership, care, and service over these years. We are also hopeful for a new birth, a new life to come.
I look forward to seeing each of you this Sunday and on the 26th.
Blessings and Peace,
Mo. Allison+

Dear People of the Diocese of New Jersey,
For everything, there is a season ...Ecclesiastes 3:1
I am writing to let you know that, following prayer and consultation with family, trusted friends, and trusted advisors, I have determined that the time has come for me to call for the election of the 13th Bishop of the Diocese of New Jersey and to notify you of my intention to resign and retire as the 12th Bishop in June 2023. At that time, God-willing, I will be 66 years old and will have served the diocese for almost ten years. My intention is read more...

O God, who didst shine in the face of Jesus who came as a carpenter, in Moses who came as a herdsman, in Socrates, a wandering teacher, we bless thee for those who create homes out of chaos, those who coax fruit out of dry land, those who must keep order when men desire lawlessness, and all who labor that the world may live with plenty and with righteousness. Keep us in thy care.
Amen.

Share the Lord. . . What is my Tithe?
|
|
My tithe is more than a check or a sum of money. It is:
My investment in a better community.
My aid to Christian youth.
My expression of faith in the future.
My gesture of goodwill.
My contribution to Christian education.
My outreach in healing and teaching through missions.
My vote for a Christian world.
My tithe is a holy offering, dedicated to God for the building of his kingdom on earth.

One of the many things that makes St. Mary's special is our tradition of giving a handmade baby blanket to a child to commemorate their baptism.
We are beginning to run low on blankets. If you knit, crochet, or quilt, we would welcome your handmade gift. Call Janice Haines with questions.
