Remember to pledge your support!
Dear Beloved St. Mary's and friends,
Thank you for all of your loving support in welcoming the Bishop, family, friends, guests, and Candidates from the Church of the Advent in Cape May. The day was tremendously successful as the spirit moved us in worship, song, fellowship, and conversation. I am grateful to each of you for your ministry, from hospitality to the altar guild, ushers, greeters, eucharistic ministers, all who cooked and baked, and especially all of our participating musicians who added beauty to our worship. Thank you also to our vestry, who stayed for a very fruitful conversation with our Bishop.
Bishop Sally arrived at 8:30 am, worshipped with us, enjoyed fellowship, sat down with the vestry, listened, and conversed about all things on our hearts and minds, and continued to pray with me after. Our Bishop was here until 2:00 pm. It was quite a long day, a meaningful day, a day of hope and promise. I am grateful to our Bishop for the time and care she gave to us all, and I am looking forward to her next visit.
May God's grace and peace be with you.
In peace and with deep gratitude,
Mo. Allison+

from Dr. John Curtis, Organist
Dear family and friends of St. Mary's,
I want to let you know that I will be leaving my position as organist at St. Mary’s in November. My wife, Judy, and I will be leaving the area and moving to the Adirondack region of upstate New York.
I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed providing music for this church for the past year. When we moved here 12 years ago, I aimed to be available to any church needing a substitute organist. When that happened at St. Mary’s last year, I was glad to help, but I made it clear to Mother Allison that it was on a temporary basis until she could find a permanent replacement. However, after a few months of your beautiful hospitality and many inspirational sermons from her and Charlene Snyder, I decided it would be good for my soul to make a permanent commitment.
However, life has had other plans for us, and we have decided to move to a place where our adult sons will be able to visit us more frequently and is equally as beautiful as the Jersey Shore. I can’t thank you all enough for your incredible support of the music I have brought to St. Mary’s in this short time. In my experience of being a church organist for 45 years in more denominations, than I can count, I can tell you that you are the first congregation ever that sits and listen to my postludes every week and even applauds. That never happens anywhere else!
I will always cherish the memories of my time at St. Mary’s, and I’m looking forward to my remaining weeks of enriching your worship experience with the best quality music that I can.
Fondly,
John Curtis

Faith Community
“Charge them to do good, to be rich in good works and generous, sharing what they have.” (1 Tim 6:18).
May Timothy’s letter move us to better see how we are using all that the Lord has entrusted to us; our income, our talents. This sense of stewardship will help us grow in faith and concern one for another.
That’s what faith community is all about.
