Dear Beloved in Christ,
As we journey through the solemnity of Triduum, we stand on the threshold of the most joyous celebration in the Christian calendar: Easter. This sacred season offers us a profound reminder of renewal, hope, and the triumphant affirmation of life. We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to each of you to join us for the pinnacle of our Holy Week observances—the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Services.
Easter Vigil at St. Simeon's - Saturday at 8:00 PM
Our Easter Vigil on Saturday evening promises to be a moving and transformative experience. As we gather at 8:00 PM, we will commence in darkness, symbolizing the tomb's cold embrace. Yet, as our service progresses, we will kindle flames that pierce the darkness, heralding the Light of Christ that overcomes all shadows. This service is a journey through salvation history, filled with the Word, the Water, and the first Eucharist of Easter. It is a potent reminder that even in moments of darkness, there is always light, hope, and resurrection.
Easter Sunday Services at St. Mary's - 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM
On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with joy, music, and community at 9:00 AM and again at 11:00 AM. These services are a testament to the enduring hope and boundless joy of Christ's victory over death. Together, we will lift our voices in songs of praise, share in the Eucharist, and rejoice in the fellowship of our church family. It is a day to renew our faith, embrace our loved ones, and welcome the promise of new life.
Easter Blessing
As we prepare our hearts to receive the risen Christ, may the joy and peace of Easter fill your lives. May the light of the resurrected Lord shine upon you, casting out all darkness, and guiding you in paths of love and peace. May the hope of Easter morning renew your spirits, and may the promise of eternal life strengthen your faith.
This Easter, let us come together as a community of believers to celebrate the miracle of the Resurrection. Let us share in the joy and wonder of this glorious day, as we affirm once more the power of love over despair, life over death, and light over darkness.
With heartfelt blessings and Easter joy,
Mo. Allison+
May the peace and grace of the risen Christ be with you now and always. Amen.
