HAND MADE MASKS TO BE AVAILABLE AT SYNAGOGUE DOOR
|
Tifereth Israel Board Secretary Jan Lyddon is working with the Stitching Sisters, a volunteer organization that makes quilts for cancer patients at Tifereth Israel, to sew cloth face masks that will be available to synagogue members entering the building when religious services resume. Although it is unknown when the building will open, it is likely members will be encouraged to bring their own masks and use these masks if needed. If you would like to volunteer to help make these masks, please contact
Jan

SPOTLIGHT 2020: CANTOR CHOMSKY'S OPUS
|
|
DOING BUSINESS WHILE CTI REMAINS CLOSED FOR COVID-19
|
|
As a community, we are very excited and eager to honor Cantor Jack Chomsky as he prepares for retirement after 38 years of music, service, and leadership at Congregation Tifereth Israel. Unfortunately, due to the current health safety crisis, the beautiful Shabbat dinner and one-of-a-kind concert planned in celebration of our cantor must be
postponed
to an as of yet undetermined future date.
We are extremely grateful to the members of our community who have already committed to a sponsorship and/or made dinner/ticket purchases. While we await clarity on what the future holds, we encourage you, if you have not already done so, to continue to honor Cantor Chomsky in this way. To do so, please contact
Joy Contreras
at 614-928-3291.
|
|
The safest, most effective way to make membership payments and contributions while the synagogue remains closed is to use our electronic payment options. Electronic payments are not only efficient, but support the social distancing requirements demanded by the current health crisis. If you prefer, payments and contributions can also be made by phone.

SURVEY FOR THOSE WHO NEED HELP OR CAN OFFER ASSISTANCE
|
After coordinating with
Jewish Family Services
, we have created a
survey
, which we would encourage you to complete. It asks if you have the means to offer some kind of assistance, require assistance, or would like to share with us in confidence the name of someone who might need assistance but does not know how to ask. We are constantly brainstorming ways to protect the health of everyone in the community while still offering a way to help. Please fill out the
survey
and thank you, in advance, to all those who are able to help and to those who have the courage to ask for help in this time of need. Click
HERE
to find the survey and please feel free to share it with anyone who might need it.

SUPPORT CTI WHEN YOU SHOP ONLINE OR AT KROGER
|
Help provide needed funds to Tifereth Israel, without changing your shopping habits.
AmazonSmile
is operated by Amazon and has the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. But when you shop on AmazonSmile, 0.5% of your purchase is donated to Tifereth Israel. Search for us by name when you log into your account. Tifereth Israel also earns through the
Kroger Community Rewards
program. If you have a Kroger Plus card, please register it with the program and select Congregation Tifereth Israel to receive a donation based on your purchases each time you use your card. Please encourage your family and friends to use both of these services when they shop.
