But Jesus’ way is not our way. Jesus’ way is to link us to himself. We are linked not in a relationship of dependency but, we are linked as to the true vine. We are linked and bonded and connected to the source of our life and power. And that gives us strength to do great things for God.
We are able to bear fruit “in a resurrected kind of way”
If we profess faith in Christ, he expects us to offer our whole lives to him. That includes every action of every day, no matter how we may feel. By this is my Father glorified, Jesus says, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
The most important question we can ask is, “Why?” If the world can offer distractions, pleasures, and a reasonably fulfilling life, why remain with Jesus? Because no other vine that the world can offer is as life-giving as that of Jesus.
Without Christ, we can do little. Every breath we take is simply and only because God has willed it so. God desires our good and has made us to live with him forever. Nothing the world offers can even compete.
The world cannot offer infinite love. Only God does that.
The world cannot provide consolation. Only the Holy Spirit does that.
God is greater than our hearts and knows everything, and we receive from God just what we need.
Jesus is the source of life. Remain with him, abide in him and keep his commandments.
See you Sunday!
May God's Love and Light Shine upon you.

Do you have a favorite Hymn?
As we plan our Mother's day service, it occurred to me that some of the tunes I was choosing for that day may not be as familiar to you as they are to me. Being that we are singing a few hymns, acapella, and outside I thought I'd ask you for your favorite well-known hymns that you find yourself humming throughout the day.
Your suggestions and requests will be considered. Just reply to this email with, "My Favorite Hymn"
