This Sunday is Mother’s Day. It’s a day to honor our moms and all the women who have “mothered” us in some way. These are the women who have taught us and protected us and influenced us. This Sunday our scripture text is from Exodus 2:1-10. We’ll take some time to look at Moses’ mother. How she took a risk to save her baby from death. Because of her courage, Moses is the one God used to lead the Hebrew people out of Egypt.
Mother’s Day will be a busy Sunday for many, but I hope you’ll take an hour to worship either here at the Methodist Church or wherever you find yourself this weekend. After all what mom doesn’t like to show off her family in church!
Does Summer approaching having you worrying about how disconnected from worship you may become in the coming months? Are you thinking "I Can’t make it most Sundays due to all the things that we have scheduled"? Well.... starting June 1st you will can put those worries aside and stay connected by attending worship at 5:00 on Saturday evenings. Some great things about this service it will be different from Sunday's service; varied order of worship, shorter service, different music and different messages. And don't worry if you find yourself all of a sudden running behind and you have just remembered the 5:00 service, stop what you are doing and come as you are!
We hope this will be a great addition for everyone; busy families with kids in sports, those that have family reunions on Sunday's, or just the spur of the moment plans that pop up that may keep you from attending on a Sunday morning.
If you would be interested in greeting on a Saturday evening please talk to or email Mandy!
