Register for Introduction to Judaism
|

Wednesdays, January 20 - April 14 from 6:00-8:00pm via Zoom
If you are an interfaith couple, considering converting to Judaism, or Jewish and looking for beginner’s education, Introduction to Judaism is perfect for you. It provides a foundation of the Jewish faith, culture, people and history, from a Reform perspective. Cost: free for RS members; $180/non-member singles and couples. Register here.

Adult Beginner Hebrew Class, begins virtually on Monday, January 4 and continues on Mondays through May at 8:00pm, led by Rebekah Robinson. She will guide you in learning to read all of the letters and vowel symbols of the Hebrew alphabet. You will become familiar with central prayers and be able to read them or follow along with a reasonable amount of ease.

Seeking Special Early Morning Volunteers to Help Our Neighbors at Breaking Bread on Broad
|
|
Each Wednesday morning at 10:00am, volunteers help Breaking Bread on Broad (BBoB) distribute food, diapers, and feminine hygiene supplies to families in need outside of our Green Street entrance.
Volunteer for one (or both) of these opportunities:
7:00am: Unload heavy boxes (approx. 25 lbs)
10:00am: Distribute items to our neighbors
BBoB partners with Philadelphia non-profits and our own RS members to obtain and distribute these necessary items.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has created a Congregational Rabbis COVID-19 Emergency Fund to provide aid to our congregants and community members who are in need of financial assistance. This is to aid those suffering from the current pandemic. The funds are intended to help those in need of food, medical assistance, rent/mortgage payments and/or medical expenses.
