This Sunday we enter a new story, the story of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the most important day in our life together as a Christian community, especially right now.
Our worship service will broadcast on Easter Sunday at 10AM. It will begin dramatically, at the waters’ edge, at dawn. “On location,” Rev. Vickie will recount the gospel story, from Matthew 28: 1-10, and reflect on the meaning of that moment for us, today.
Later in the service, Rev. Nancy will reflect on a dramatic rendering of the story of Easter evening, the story of the “Road to Emmaus", from Luke 24: 13-35. The experiences of those early disciples are so relevant to our circumstances at this moment!
As we feel what the disciples felt, we can also feel what we are feeling – we can grieve – and also rejoice in the ways God is lifting us up in the midst of this crisis.
We will also be welcoming Sarah Helen Land, a virtuoso soprano, MCCer, gifted in ministry. She has graciously volunteered to let us include her in our celebration.
Don’t miss it!
