Loving Note from Your Pastors

Dear members, friends and family,
About a year ago, SunCoast MCC signed a contract for our new roof! It seems like that was so long ago. As the rainy season approaches, we are grateful for that roof! At the same time, we are living in a new time of uncertainty. In some places in Florida, beaches are opening. In other places, like many of our neighborhoods, some businesses remain closed. Mixed messages abound, as does anxiety and impatience. And, so much else.
But the church is not closed! We cannot gather, but, that does not stop us from being community. Praying, connecting, texting, reading the Psalms, joining the Zoom classes, calling, giving, helping, serving and many of you even visited the Church's “drive by blessing”. While we stay connected, we continue to practice social distancing. When one of us is struggling with the separation and confinement, others are reaching out, and lifting our spirits. When one has a loss, we all grieve, when one has a joy to share, we rejoice.
These days, that is everything!

Yet, it is full of joy, encouragement, gratitude and memorable passages that have stood the test of time. It is as relevant as if it were written last week! Prayer Surge Service

Join the Pastors in a Prayer Surge. This is a Service that is a sacred and meaningful time of spiritual centering. Together we will share our prayers for the many needs around us - for each other, our loved ones, our church and the world. Interspersed will be songs and scripture to allow us to dis-engage from the world for a moment and to experience God’s presence in our midst.
