"Flying and Falling"

Society seems to focus on success. We are often told to shoot for the stars and to fly high.

But what about those times when we fall? Does everyone fall? Why do we fall? Is it possible to turn the times we fall into something positive?

Join us this Sunday as we explore these questions and strive to inspire hope as well as begin to discover and claim the superpowers that reside within each of us!

Eastertide Offering Update

Rejoice with us!

Our goal was to raise $73,000 for our new social hall and renovation of our kitchen, bathrooms and offices ($54,000) and our General Fund ($18,000).

We have EXCEEDED OUR GOAL and already have raised $95,570!

If you have not yet participated, PLEASE KNOW THAT EVERY GIFT COUNTS!

We have recently had to use savings to purchase a new air conditioning system, and we have the summer months awaiting us, where we are always challenged to meet out General Fund expenses.

We are stretching ourselves right now to meet those opportunities!

THANK YOU to those who have already given so generously.

In honor and anticipation of your faithfulness, we would like to challenge ourselves to achieve a stretch goal of $113,000. This would be $40,000 above our original goal.

God has always been good to us at SunCoast MCC, always exceeded our expectations, and worked through us to achieve more than we had imagined.

As we reach out as never before to our community partners, and expand our space, we renew our commitment to be a radically welcoming church for all people --- and we welcome your participation in this Eastertide Offering.

Our celebration for the completion of this campaign will happen on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2023 - join us for a joyful time of worship and gratitude!

Unclutter Your Soul

Join us for a morning time of Spiritual Practice in May (9, 16, 23 and 30), Tuesday mornings at 10:30.

We will be using Trina McNeilly’s book by the same name.

She said, “Our minds and hearts are crowded...we stumble over unrealistic expectations of ourselves. Emotional pain, anxiety and everyday stresses are a constant “white noise” in our souls.”

With grace and humor, Trina helps us face some of the unnecessary mess of life in order to rise above it.

Let’s open the window, turn on the lights, breathe deeply!

Join Rev. Nancy for a time of prayer, sharing as we overcoming the clutter of our souls!  If you would like to purchase the book, you can order one from Amazon or see Kim. The cost is $15.

Update from Your Pastoral

& Congregational Care Team

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in our distress.

Therefore, we will fear nothing,

even if the earth gives way

and the mountains fall into the

heart of the sea,

even if the waters roar and foam

and the mountains tumble

with their surging.

God is our refuge and strength."

~Psalm 46:1-3

Message From the Board Of Directors

Social Hall Renovation Project

We’re getting close to end of the construction phase of our Administrative Wing Renovation with our new Social Hall and restrooms.

There are mostly small finishing details and installing the double doors into the Social Hall (when they arrive) that need to be completed.

Next we’ll be cleaning and putting small furnishings and our other Church belongings - including re-installing the bookshelves from the former Library - into new places and making it our “home” again! We’ll be asking for some of your help - no heavy lifting! - so stay tuned.
