Advent Series: The Gift of Being Present

Advent can be filled with worry about finding the perfect Christmas gifts. Deep down we want people in our lives to know they are special and that we love them. But sometimes we overlook the greatest gift of all...our very presence. Our spiritual ancestors were also worried — often about survival in the midst of political occupation. And the response of the scriptures is “the Holy Living One is with you.” Like a shepherd who never leaves the flock, we are held close. This season, we are invited to be the gift of presence for our loved ones, for our communities, for those who need it most.

Join the Pastors for a night of food, fellowship and prayer on Thursday, December 7th.

Wear your ugliest or cutest holiday sweater/shirt and you might win a prize

Dinner begins at 5:30 PM

Prayer Service begins immediately after the meal.

Venice Sun Coast Wind Ensemble Holiday Concert

Friday, December 8th at 2 PM

Come spend a relaxing afternoon listening to your favorite holiday music with Director Lynn Cleary and the Sun Coast Wind Ensemble. These dedicated musicians will entertain you!

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by either using the link below, calling the Church Office or after Worship on Sundays. The proceeds go to continue the work of SunCoast MCC in the community.

Hurricane season has come and gone!! It is time to take down and store the shutters. Sam Sinnett will be leading this project and needs volunteers to join him on Saturday, December 9th @ 9 AM. The shutters need to be removed, cleaned and stored.

See Sam if you have any questions.

Help us decorate the Sanctuary for Christmas by purchasing a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one. You can do this by either using the link below or completing the form in the Church lobby.
