Rev. Elder Lillie Brock is currently the Sr. Pastor of Church of the Trinity MCC in Sarasota, Florida.
Rev. Brock has served as a clergy person in MCC for 21 years as a Pastor on Staff at the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, TX, as an Elder in the denomination for a decade, and as the Pastor of Congregational Life at MCC of Greater St. Louis, MO.
Rev. Lillie has been a member of MCC since 1981 and before ordination, served in many lay roles and has been a member of 8 different MCC churches through those 40 years. Rev. Brock says, “MCC runs deep in my bones and in my family. My father, Rev. Jimmy Brock served MCC for 20 years before his death and my grandparents and mother have long supported our movement. It’s hard to imagine that anything could ever move me away from the church that saved our lives.”
Rev. Lillie, before ordination, was a business owner, speaker, trainer, and author and was privileged to travel all over the world assisting people through organizational changes. Rev. Lillie lives in Sarasota with her partner, Kate Savage, and their two pets, Zorro and Bella.

"Defining Moments"
Throughout our lives together in church and individually, there are moments when the decisions we make and the paths we take, change everything.
This Sunday, we will see what the Children of Israel have to teach us about a moment like that and how it changed their course and the course of history.
As we continue to live in a pandemic infected environment and as SunCoast begins a new journey, it is worth asking the question, “Is this a defining moment for you?”

This February 12 & 13, 2022, the Jewish Congregation of Venice will sponsor the annual Jewish Food Festival. They have held this event for more than 25 years. It is a way of sharing Jewish culture and cuisine with the entire community of Venice.
Your support and patronage helped make this a major event on the region’s community calendar.
Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty brought on by the recent upsurge of COVID-19 and variants' cases, we are not able to hold an in-person Jewish Food Festival this year. But…
The good news is that our homemade Jewish delicacies are being prepared and can be ordered online.
Purchases are by PRE-ORDER and PRE-PAYMENT only. There will be no purchases the day of the Festival.
Use the link below to read more about the festival and place an order.

Updated SunCoast MCC Protocols for Onsite Worship
|
|
During the December Board of Directors meeting, the members reviewed the current data and have developed the following UPDATED protocols.
The Board of Directors regularly revisits the safety protocols in relation to COVID-19.
We continue to monitor the local statistics and will make changes when possible.
1) We will facilitate social distancing at indoor and outdoor gatherings (indoors, people will be encouraged to sit with people they feel comfortable sitting near, people can sit farther apart, ushers will help people who need it). Chairs will be further apart outside, in small clusters.
2) In order to attend indoor worship, you must be fully vaccinated.
3) Social hour after church has been suspended for two months, at which time we will review the situation.
4) We will offer one outdoor service per month. Our next outdoor Service will be February 6, 2022.
5) Masks are required for indoor services.
6) Masks are required while walking to the outdoor worship area, and as you leave. If you feel comfortable, you may remove your mask during services that are held outside.
