Immeasurable Love

The early Christian writers expressed to us the immeasurable lengths of Jesus’ service, sacrifice, and love. 

The beloved story of the feeding of 5,000 hungry followers on a hillside is one such story of the limitless ways God cares and provides. 

When we reflect upon Jesus’ abundance in our lives, it challenges us to live without limits in our service, our giving, our faith, and our love for each other.

We all have an inherent spiritual “personality” or type. You may have wondered why you express your faith in certain ways or are naturally drawn to some worship practices but not to others. Participants will take a personal assessment to help understand yourself and others better and celebrate the type of spiritual person you are.

Reflective Bible Reading

The scriptures are full of encouragement, wisdom and guidance. In this class we will practice the ancient act of lectio divina or divine reading. As we take time to reflect and contemplate on scripture, we will open ourselves up to the presence and message of God.

Honoring
Sharon Van Butsel
This past Sunday, we honored Sharon Van Butsel's life by placing a leaf on the Tree of Life in her honor. Thank you Carla for sharing Sharon with us and know she has made a tremendous impact on the Church, the community and all who knew her.
Remembering those on the
Tree of Life
Beginning August 1st, we will be starting a new tradition at SunCoast MCC.

Each month, we are asking people to place a white ribbon on the leaf of your loved one or friend honoring a birthday, anniversary or an anniversary of a loved one's passing. The ribbons will be provided and located at the Welcome Desk.

At the end of each month, we will remove the ribbons and ask people to do the same for the next month.

School Supply Drive
We are partnering with a local Title 1 Elementary School to provide school supplies for the '21-22 school year. Title 1 schools are so named because a majority of their families are at or below the poverty level. These kids need our help to ensure they have a bright future and are prepared to take on the world.

We will be collecting supplies until August 3rd and will deliver the items prior to the first day of school. Please bring your donations and drop them off in the bin in the lobby area.

We are asking that our SunCoast family and friends share their travel pictures (past or present) with us. Send us photos of your staycations or long distant adventures so we can collect some of your memories.

Weekly Offering

Thank you for your continued support and generosity, especially in light of these challenging times. Based on our monthly mortgage and expenses, we need $4,800 each week. The count for the weeks of July 3rd, July 10th and July 17th is $5,999 for the General Fund* and $1,385 for the Pillars Fund**.

*Funds the church's expenses (i.e., utilities, salaries, maintenance of property, worship/multi-media expenses, bank fees, internet, copier, office supplies, tithe, etc.)

**Pillar Funds the church's mortgage, insurance & taxes.

We are very excited about changes in our protocols for Worship. Please take a minute to review the updated information.  
 
  • You are no longer required to wear a mask if you are vaccinated. However, if you prefer to wear one, you are welcome to!

  • Our Emerge Team will continue to offer to escort you to a seat, and if you prefer to maintain social distance, they will assist you.

  • Please continue to be considerate and respectful as we greet each other. Feel free to greet people with open arms, bump elbows or a fist pump.

  • We ask you to continue to avoid congregating around the sound booth and congested areas. 

  • And, of course, if you are sick or feel symptoms of COVID, please stay home and enjoy the service online or on YouTube.
