On July 18th, join us as we welcome
Rev. Rick Rhen-Sosbe
as a guest Preacher.
Rev. Rick Rhen-Sosbe began his professional ministerial calling in the Assemblies of God in 1993 where he was pastor in Lakeland, Florida. After coming to terms with and coming out as a gay man, Rev. Rick left the Assemblies of God. His first visit to an MCC was to attend a Marsha Stevens-Pino concert. Rev. Rick says attending that concert was “a life-changing, Divine appointment!” Soon after, Rev. Rick was asked to serve as interim pastor at Rainbow Promise MCC in Lakeland. During his time in Lakeland, Rev. Rick began the process of transferring his ordination from the Assemblies of God to MCC.
With Rev. Dr. Nancy Wilson as his supervisor and Church of the Trinity MCC in Sarasota serving as his sponsor church, Rev. Rick’s ordination was officially transferred in January 2003. Rev. Rick was the founding pastor of MCC Naples, interim pastor at Holy Cross MCC in Pensacola, pastor of MCC of Our Redeemer in Augusta, Georgia and currently serves as part-time pastor at Church of Our Savior MCC in Boynton Beach, Florida. Rev. Rick has been with the love of his life, Michael for almost 14 years, six of those years, they have been legally married. They have two dogs, Mille and Gracie.

Becoming a New Creation
“God’s Economy: An Aquifer Within Us!”
Did you know that God poured water from a rock for the People of Israel as they wandered in the dry desert? We will read that story from Exodus 17 this Sunday.
In this season of rain and hurricanes, I have been thinking of Florida’s aquifer – the miraculous, permeable rock below the surface that holds, stores and releases water for our environment.
Did you know that God has built within each of us, and in our church, a “spiritual aquifer” that is part of the Divine Economy of provision for us? If we will only trust and allow what is within us to be released for good!
We will also hear Paul’s words, in Ephesians 1 about “the down payment on our inheritance” that is the work of the Spirit within us today. . .
Come and count your blessings this week, as we worship, enjoy the music and sing together on our way out again this Sunday!

The Holy Spirit and energy filled the Sanctuary last Sunday. It was such a blessing to see everyone's smiling faces, greeting friends we have not seen in so long, hear your voices singing, watch the dancing and witness the re-connection of friends and family.
We hope you will be able to join us this Sunday as we keep the Spirit alive and continue the "Joyful Urgency" of sharing God's love and forgiveness.
Remember to let your "Light Shine"
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Creator in heaven. ~Matthew 5:16

We are very excited about changes in our protocols for Worship. Please take a minute to review the updated information.
- You are no longer required to wear a mask if you are vaccinated. However, if you prefer to wear one, you are welcome to!
- Our Emerge Team will continue to offer to escort you to a seat, and if you prefer to maintain social distance, they will assist you.
- Please continue to be considerate and respectful as we greet each other. Feel free to greet people with open arms, bump elbows or a fist pump.
- We ask you to continue to avoid congregating around the sound booth and congested areas.
- And, of course, if you are sick or feel symptoms of COVID, please stay home and enjoy the service online or on YouTube.
Thank you for your patience as we adjust to worshipping indoors.
