Volunteer Appreciation Brunch | |
The Pastors are hosting a Volunteer Brunch for all of our Volunteers and their partner/spouse on Saturday, June 10th at 10:30 AM. If you are a volunteer in one of the many Ministries of SunCoast MCC ( Board of Directors, Welcome/Usher, Lector/Reader, Choir and Drumming, Landscaping, Office Angels, Cleaning Team, Liturgical Arts/Altar Care, Communications, Community Partnership, Strategic Plan, Media, Hurricane Prep, Safety, Worship Team, County Team, Congregational Care, Closing Team, Fundraising, Social Event, Social Justice, etc.), please mark your calendars and join us. Community Partnership Updates | |
The Community Partnership Team has been very busy. Last week they took a sweet treat to a local elementary school for teachers/staff appreciation week. This week the Church hosted the first diaper day distribution in partnership with Second Chance, Last Opportunity from Sarasota.
Also, Dr. David Katz had organized a benefit concert supporting the work of Dr. April Glasco and her work with Second Chance Last Opportunity. We are pleased to share that the concert raised $1,149!! SunCoast MCC continues to make a positive impact on our community!

SunCoast MCC
Join us this Sunday, May 21st at 10 AM as we celebrate two of the many blessings we have received at SunCoast MCC.
The Pastors will be blessing the new Social Hall and we will also be honoring the 6th Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Nancy Wilson as our Pastor.
The Board of Directors are planning a formal dedication service of the Social Hall for the near future.

Unclutter Your Soul
Join us for Spiritual Practice in May (23, 30 and June 6), Tuesday mornings at 10:30. You can join either in person or virtually using the link below.
We will be using Trina McNeilly’s book by the same name.
Join Rev. Nancy for a time of prayer and sharing as we overcome the clutter of our souls! If you would like to purchase the book, you can order one from Amazon or see Kim. The cost is $15.

For our healing service, we will have some hurricane season resources for you, and we will focus our prayers, in part, on the upcoming hurricane season.
Prayer is our superpower, let's pray for our church, our community, as we prepare our hearts.

Social Justice June Book Club
It is now time to purchase your books for June book club meeting. June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. To expand our understanding, we will be reading the much-acclaimed Still Alice. This wonderfully-written novel tells the story of a woman diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Please consider reading it and joining our zoom discussion on Monday, June 19 at 7:00pm. Books available on Amazon.

Last week's operating donations were $2,225. This is $2,177 short of our budgeted expenses. Our Year to Date (YTD) donations are $78,649. This is $15,186 short of our budgeted expenses YTD.
The above includes donations of $11,144 for Pillars. This is $5,689 less than our mortgage payments YTD.
YTD we have received $36,000 for Easter Offerings
We received an additional $200 for our Building Fund (Renovation) for a total received or pledged of $98,300.
