“DO NOT LOSE HEART!”
Jesus tells the story of a woman who pesters a corrupt judge until he gives her justice. . . the moral of the story is to keep praying and never lose heart!
Paul, in the same vein, in Galatians, tells us, “Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.."
The message for us is clear: times like these call us to persevere, to “keep on moving forward.” Make no mistake, these are moments we will look back on and see the hand of God working through us.
So, don’t lose heart. Did you know that your presence on Sunday, if you are able, is an encouragement to others? You can help someone else not lose heart. . . .

Second Chance-Last Opportunity is in Sarasota. They focus on supporting underserved persons wanting to improve their lives and the lives of their children. Dr . April Glasco opened Second Chance-Last Opportunity (SCLO), a hands-on intervention center, in 1995. Since then, SCLO programs have grown to include life-management and parenting skills training, counseling, mentoring, HIV-AIDS education and counseling, summer/after-school youth programs, food, clothing and shelter referrals, and meals/food distributions.
So many in the community have suffered loss after hurricane Ian and SCLO is helping families with children; they need our help. They are in need of the following items:
- dry goods
- cereal
- small cartons of milk
- tuna
- pop-open cans
- canned goods
- diapers
- baby wipes
- fresh fruit
- fresh vegtables
You can drop your donations by the Church office during office hours or on Sunday and Rev. Nancy will deliver the items.
