As we prepare for our Generosity Dinner and our season of stewardship, we hear the witness of the Book of Acts, that the early church shared and gave all they had to grow the community and to make a difference in lives and in history.

They let God re-order their priorities and their spirit. In this moment in our church’s life, can we open our hearts to the path, to the destiny that God has in store for us? Can we be ignited by the “Love (that) Lifted Us?”

Since Hispanic Heritage Month runs through the middle of October, we will not be reading a new selection this month. Instead we will celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month by having our next “Brunch & a Movie” on October 22. After church we will have a traditional pancake breakfast followed by a viewing of the movie, Milk, starring Sean Penn. This powerful biographical film teaches us about one of the heroes of our community and sheds light on an important time in our history.

A $5 donation is requested to help defray food costs.)

The October Board of Directors meeting will occur on Monday, October 23rd at

5:15 PM.

Venice Sun Coast Wind Ensemble Fall Concert

Join us on Friday, October 27th at 2 PM for an afternoon of music and fun. The Venice Sun Coast Wind Ensemble will be having a fall concert featuring some fun Halloween music along with a time of honoring our Veterans as we prepare to celebrate Veteran's Day in November.

Come spend a relaxing afternoon listening to your favorite music with

Director Lynn Cleary and the Sun Coast Wind Ensemble.

These dedicated musicians will entertain you!
