Sunday Worship Information
|
|
All Saints’ Day is an opportunity to come together as Christians. This is a time for togetherness, family, and remembrance. There are many community and family events, and this holiday has a special place in many lives.
In North and South America, you’re more likely to hear All Saints’ Day referred to by its Spanish name, Dia de Los Santos. This is one of the biggest annual holidays in Latin America.
All Saints’ Day serves as a reminder to respect those who have passed.
As Christianity has spread across the globe, All Saints’ Day has evolved. It’s now adapted to different cultures, traditions, and people. Everyone has their own way to honor the deceased on November 1.

All Saints Sunday
"Our Spiritual Tree"
On this All Saints' Sunday we remember with fondness and thanksgiving all of those who have gone before. Like the great cedar trees that are often admired in the scriptures, our saints stand tall in our hearts and live on through the seeds they leave and the lives they have touched.
Our service will include a photo remembrance of our personal saints, and we will place names on our Memorial Tree in the sanctuary.
Scripture: Psalm 92:12-15, Revelation 7:9-17

November Tree Of Live Remembrance
|
|
Please remember to take a moment and place a white bow on the leaf of a family member or friend memorialized on the Tree of Life who will be celebrating a heavenly birthday, anniversary or the day they went home.
You will find the ribbons on the table beneath the tree.

SunCoast MCC Stewardship
Prayer 2021
BOUNTIFUL GOD, thank you for the many blessings You have bestowed on me and all those I love – especially the blessings of the Community and Ministries of SunCoast MCC.
I am grateful for the time, talent and treasure of those who preceded me at SunCoast MCC providing its blessings for me today. Grant me wisdom as I contemplate my financial
stewardship
obligations so that MCC may thrive today and be there in the future for those who need the blessings of this faithful Community and its many Ministries.
In Jesus’ Holy Name, we pray.
Amen

We are so blessed that we have received over 45 commitment cards.
Because of your commitment of time, talents and tithes, we will thrive today and be there in the future for those who need the blessings of this faithful Community and its many Ministries.

SunCoast MCC Stewardship Blessing Tree
|
|
|
On Thursday, a beautiful Hong Kong Orchid tree was planted as a symbol of all of our blessings. Thank you to everyone who placed a blessing card on the tree in the Sanctuary throughout the Stewardship Campaign. This tree blooms in the winter months when many things die or hibernate. This will help us all to remember that we are blessed and are also a blessing to others throughout the year, not just during times of good fortune.
Thank you to Amy Taborsky, Linda Staib and Connie Kennedy for researching and selecting a tree that will grow into a beautiful reminder that we are all blessed.

A Piece of SunCoast MCC History!
While Linda and her wonderful volunteers were cleaning and organizing the Chapel and sheds, they found 8 of the "gold" shovels that were used in the ground breaking ceremony of the current SunCoast MCC Sanctuary.
If you would like one of the shovels as a memento of our history, please let Linda know.

Open Enrollment For Health Insurance-ACA Marketplace
|
|
Open Enrollment for health insurance on the ACA Marketplace is right around the corner starting on November 1st and the Biden-Harris Administration wants to work with you to spread the word. The COVID‑19 pandemic elevated the need for health coverage more than ever and the American Rescue Plan has made that coverage more affordable.
Now, 4 in 5 people are able to find coverage for $10 a month on the ACA Marketplace.
To take advantage of the Marketplace, millions of uninsured individuals and families need to know about it and sign up. We need your help to let people know about these benefits and get them enrolled starting November 1st.
For more information, please use the link below.

New SunCoast MCC Protocols for Onsite Worship
|
|
The Board of Directors regularly revisits the safety protocols in relation to COVID-19. We looked at the local statistics and noted the decrease in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.
This was welcomed good news, and we remain hopeful that we are headed toward better days around the virus.
While we are optimistic, we also want to remain cautious and phase into looser restrictions.
For now we will continue
- wearing masks
- use individual communion cups
- have no social time or refreshments indoors after service
The following revisions will occur over the next few weeks:
- introduce more congregational singing during worship (with masks)
- social time with refreshments outside beginning Nov. 21
- Choir and drumming practices to resume for fully vaccinated individuals on Dec. 8
- Choir performing in worship, anticipated beginning on Dec. 19
The board will continue to watch the trends and as long as they
move in the right direction, will lessen restrictions along the way.
The board wishes to thank all of you for your patience
and cooperation in our approach to use caution.
