All Saints Sunday: Saintly Lessons of Life and Love
Sunday – November 1 – 10AM
|
|
On November 1, we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, a time to pause and reflect on all those holy women and men who have lived before us and inspired us — and who live among us. We recognize that as one People of God, there is a spiritual connection between all of us, whether alive on this earth or in the heavenly realm. As we recall our saints, we will remember their lessons of life and love.
During the service, there will be a photo presentation of our personal saints.
Readings: Revelation 21:1-6 and Hebrews 11:13-16 & 12:1-3

COVID Prayer - by Rebecca Wilson
"We are tired, O God and we cling to you, like a rock in a weary land. The weight of the world is heavy on our shoulders and our hearts. Like dry bones, we cry out to you asking that those with COVID-19 would be healed; those awaiting test results would know your peace, that their family and friends would know your comfort; that those who grieve would be comforted; that those who are lonely would feel you close; that those who suffer would find relief. Guide those who lead us; help them to make the right decisions for the right reasons—even when and especially when—the decisions are hard. We thank you for those who lead us here at SunCoast MCC, our pastors, our board of directors, our staff, each one who offers their time in service to the community. We are grateful for their gifts and graces. May the gift of your grace pour out abundantly on us all that we may be vessels of grace and healing to a world in need. In your many names and with our many voices we pray, Amen"

(*Funds the church's operating expenses (i.e., utilities, salaries, maintenance of property, worship/multi-media expenses, bank fees, internet, copier, office supplies, tithe, etc. **Funds the church's mortgage, insurance & taxes.)
