Friday, September 25 at 6:30PM

Y'all get dressed up in your best country attire and come on out for a country-themed homecoming.

Music performances from our SunCoast favorites, a little dancing and toe tapping at your seat, the crowning of a homecoming queen, laughs and more surprises.

We will also thank and recognize Carla Petersen for her service as our Office Manager for the past few years. Carla has been a loyal, faithful servant and a constant during many changes at SunCoast. Please continue to keep her and her wife Sharon Van Butsel in your prayers. Sharon has been in hospice care for the past several weeks. Carla and Sharon have been volunteers and members since 2013.

This event will be held outside on our church grounds. Bring a lawn chair, bug spray, sunscreen and water. Please join us in following every safety precaution.

Masks are required and 6 feet social distance guidelines will be practiced.

The Passionate Jesus: Who Did Jesus Love?

Sunday – September 27 – 10AM

Series continues through October 25th

Authenticity, Love, Anger, Fear, Grief, Joy – emotions that are all very human and all very Jesus. This series affirms the role of human emotions and that Jesus – fully human as well as divine – indeed had emotions too.

This Sunday, we address the emotion of Love. At first this seems like a silly question – Jesus loves everybody, right? But, was Jesus’ love for others just generic? Was there anyone the Bible says he loved in particular? Was Jesus’ love nuanced and complicated, in a human way? Was he challenged to love, at times, just like we are? How does exploring these questions help us to love deeply and well? What can we learn from Jesus as a passionate person who loved? Deuteronomy 6: 4-5; Leviticus 19:18; Luke 3: 21-22

Weekly Offering

Thank you for your continued support and generosity. To minimally cover the Church expenses during this time, we need approximately $6,000 weekly. For week ending September 25, 2020, we collected $2,222 for General Fund* and $1,150 for Pillars.**

Together let's keep our General Fund and Pillars accounts liquid.

*Funds the church's operating expenses (i.e., utilities, salaries, maintenance of property, worship/multi-media expenses, bank fees, internet, copier, office supplies, tithe, etc.)

**Funds the church's mortgage, insurance and taxes.

We are publishing a Directory as another way to help our congregation stay connected. Here are a couple of protocols we will be following.

The Directory will be published for the private use of SunCoast MCCers. Under NO circumstances should this information be shared with anyone other than SunCoast MCC members and it should only be used for socializing and for Church related activities.
The Directory will be emailed to you and posted in our “members only” section of SunCoast MCC’s website and updated periodically.

Scavenger Hunt Happy Hour

Back by popular demand. Join what promises to be a fun event where we search our homes and earn "points towards prizes" for being the fastest to find items inside our homes. Everyone who joins the Zoom event chooses an item in their home and participants seek it in their own home. The person with the most points will win a dinner gift card! We had a wonderful time last time where we had to find lady bugs, flashlights, matches, garden clippers, orange candles, etched glass....all done virtually.

Drum Circle

(outdoor on the Church grounds)

Come together, outside on the grounds of SunCoast MCC, in joy and fellowship. No experience is necessary and there is room for all in the circle. Please bring a lawn chair (type with a firm bottom rather than a sinking/sling seat is better), bug spray, sunscreen, water and a drum if you have it.

We will be holding our annual meetings virtually this year. This is a time when we vote for positions on the Board of Directors and approve the 2021 Budget (at the Annual meeting). More information will be available soon.
