Ascending Expectations
Sunday morning, we continue in our anticipatory journey toward Pentecost and we, like the disciples, will experience the ascension of Jesus. The Ascension doesn’t typically receive the same attention as other days in the life of the church, but it is a key moment in the church’s story.
The Book of Acts is full of drama and suspense and heightens our expectations of what’s to come. Two mysterious messengers arrive and question why the disciples are just standing around star gazing after Jesus ascends into the clouds. Is Jesus really absent? Might he now be with us in a new way?
Join us this Sunday, as Rebecca Wilson, a new member of SunCoast and a new addition to MCC's staff shares the message and invites us to go deeper and higher into the mystery of faith. Scripture: Acts 1: 1-11.
