Dear SunCoast friends and family,

We hope and pray that this letter finds you healthy and managing through these turbulent and challenging times. The good news is SunCoast MCC, now in our 25 th year, continues to be the church alive ! While we haven’t met in person since early March, SunCoaster’s have embraced this transition as an opportunity for new ways of being connected, from our weekly on-line worship services, to virtually doing  ministry, holding classes and doing outreach!

Earlier this year, pre-Covid 19, we launched SunCoast MCC’s Capital Campaign designed to pay down our mortgage principal and shore up our Pillars’ mortgage program, as we prepare to refinance the mortgage this summer. To date, 73 people have responded, with over $76,865 in cash and pledges, which is more than ½ of our goal of $130,000. Reaching the goal will allow us to refinance our mortgage at below $500,000 and build a cushion for the monthly mortgage payments so we can do more ministry. W e extend a personal and special invitation for you to be part of this vital Campaign!

SunCoast MCC’s work is important. We have “a heavenly call,” as the scriptures say, to share the unconditional love of Jesus in an unjust and hurting world. We embrace our special call to LGBTQ families, our allies and all in the margins who are still not welcome in so many churches.

We invite you to PRAY regularly for the success of this campaign. Prayer is  essential and makes the difference. With your help and commitment, we can be a powerful voice for a God of love, justice, hope and visibility!

As we begin the next 25 years, it is clear that we are meeting needs and living into our core values. We are becoming a powerful voice for a God of love, for justice, hope and visibility. Stay well and healthy!!

Grace, Love and Peace,
