2026 Camping Season has now come to an end for our Mission Center. The directors, staff and Far West Mission Center can't express enough gratitude for sending your youth to our camps! Camps are such a pillar of our mission center and without continued support, financially, sending your kids to camp, or your child bring friends, we couldn't continue the ministry of our camping program. We hope you children were able to embrace the camp they attended, creating memories and friendship that can be built throughout the year, and come back stronger next summer. Our numbers were good! We served over 112 youth this summer, between Camp Haven, Children's Day Camp, Junior High Camp, Junior Camp and Spectacular!
Included with the camping season is our Family Camp, where we registered 246 campers!!! WOW! Our numbers have been consistent for so many years, and again at awe of our faithful commitment by our members, their family and friends.
Even though our camping season is over, that doesn't mean our ability to continue to create relationships is. As the kids head back to school or college, let us help remind them the importance of caring for each other, their new friendships, their old ones, and encouraging them to find moments in the busyiness of life to say hello, to reach out and just say are you doing ok?
Simple gestures go a long way, spreading Christ love to everyone we see. Perhaps caring for a loved one, writing letters, opening the door for someone or paying it forward and purchasing a meal. Whatever can be done to continue to show that Jesus is with our youth, our parents, grandparents, and all those around us. Let's continue to build on our life's journey and walk with Jesus every day.
We can also share, that because of your generosity, faithfulness, and care, we were able to not only meet our Family Camp budget, but we exceeded it!!!! This helps balance our overall camping season to include all youth camps as well as family camp. THANK YOU! Because of this, we are able to give 25% of the remaining balance directly to Camp Farwesta!! Remaining then goes to the Ministry Reserves for future camps and ministries.
What a blessing you all are, and as we continue through Christs journey, let us remember that YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE NEEDED, YOU ARE WORTHY!
