“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

Colossians 2:6-7

Camp Farwesta Caretaker House Updates

Final Caretaker House Update-WE MADE IT!

Thank you for the generosity and support we have felt throughout this entire house project. From the very beginning, we knew this was a big undertaking, but through your love, prayers, encouragement, and giving, every need was met and the project is now complete. What a true blessing it has been to experience and witness God’s provision through this journey.

On behalf of the Camp Farwesta board, the caretaker and his family, thank you for your desire to help Camp Farwesta continue moving forward. Because of your support, the campground can remain a sacred and meaningful place for the many individuals, families, and campers who come each year to rest, grow, and connect.

Thank you as well to everyone who attended the open house. Your presence was such a blessing, and it was wonderful to celebrate together the completion of this much-needed upgrade to the caretaker housing. The excitement and encouragement shared throughout the day meant so much to all involved.

As we look ahead to the upcoming camping season, we are excited to once again open the grounds to countless campers and families. One of the best times of the year is almost here, and soon the campground will be filled with activity, laughter, fellowship, and new memories.

Thank you again for being part of this journey and for investing in the future of Camp Farwesta. We cannot wait to see you all again soon!

There’s something special about stepping away from the noise of everyday life and reconnecting—with God, with others, and with what matters most. Camp is more than just a few days away… it’s a place where faith grows, friendships deepen, and memories are made that last a lifetime.

This summer, we invite your family to be part of something meaningful. Whether it’s your child’s first time at camp, your teen looking for connection, or your whole family coming together for a weekend of encouragement and fun—there’s a place here for you.

FWMC Children’s Camp Update

For children entering Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, we are excited for Children’s Camp and wanted to share an important schedule adjustment for this year. Rather than an overnight camp experience, Children’s Camp will now be a full day of fun, learning, worship, activities, and friendship on:

Saturday, June 6

9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The cost for camp will now be $45 per camper.

Once your child is registered, families will receive a detailed information letter directly from Camp Director, Melissa Cox, with everything needed to prepare for the day.

We are looking forward to creating a meaningful and enjoyable experience for our youngest campers and appreciate your flexibility with this adjustment.

Camp Haven Volunteer Application June 7-11, 2026

Be part of something truly meaningful.

Camp Haven at Camp Farwesta is inviting passionate, caring volunteers to help create an unforgettable week for children ages 8–12 who have experienced the loss of a parent or sibling. This is more than camp—it’s a place of healing, laughter, friendship, and hope.

From sunrise activities to lakeside fun and quiet moments that matter, our volunteers are the heart of Camp Haven. There are so many ways to get involved, including:

  • Leading games and activities
  • Lifeguarding or helping with lake fun
  • Serving as a camp counselor
  • Providing support as a nurse
  • Helping in the kitchen
  • Assisting wherever extra hands and big hearts are needed

Whether you’re able to join us for the full week (June 7–11, 2026) or just a single day, your time and presence can make a lasting impact.

To ensure a safe and supportive environment, all volunteers are required to complete a background check and Youth Worker Certification.
