What are our fellows' current book recs?

From Hadley Heath Manning:

This time of year, I like to read short stories, especially those I can share with my family. Tonight we read "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry -- a classic! -- and next we are planning to read "A Trapp Family Christmas" by Aloise Buckley Heath. Yes, she was William F. Buckley's sister. And no, although we share the name Heath, we aren't related. I enjoy all of the stories in her collection, "Will Mrs. Major Go To Hell?"
