A Special Day with STARS
We were delighted to welcome STARS day program participants to the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex for an afternoon of learning pickleball. With guidance and encouragement from Program Director Kaleb Cook, staff, and volunteers, participants explored the game, celebrated their accomplishments, and enjoyed time with friends.
STARS provides life-changing experiences for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities and their families. Its adaptive summer programs in Steamboat Springs create a safe, inclusive space to try new activities, build confidence and independence, and develop friendships while enjoying the mountain air.
It was special to share in the laughter, camaraderie, and excitement on the courts. Thank you, STARS, for spending the afternoon with us!
Both tennis and pickleball can be adapted for players with disabilities, and the Complex has wheelchairs available for players to use.
