We have been having such an exciting Spring season at Steeldeck® NY we thought we would share some of the highlights!  It has been packed full of interesting installations demonstrating the versatility of our products  spread across New York City.
"The Hairy Ape"
Park Avenue Armory
    
Park Avenue Armory's recent production of Eugene O'Neil's The Hairy Ape was an emotional powerhouse and had a larger than life set design. The massive seating riser, from where the audience watched the performance literally revolve around them, was constructed using our Steeldeck® platform system. It was a tall order and a thrilling experience to help bring this production to fruition. 
    



"The Public Image Is Rotten"
Tribeca Film Festival        
 
Our decks made a special appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of The Public Image Is Rotten. The film documents the life of PiL frontman John L y don, aka Johnny Rotten. We felt extremely proud  during this year's  festival because not only wer e we providing staging for the event, but  our Production Coordinator, Allan Dias, was the  bass player for PiL back in the day. He was featured in the film that premiered o n  the stage that he built!

"Hot Sauce Expo"
Brooklyn Expo Center

This year we returned to the Brooklyn Expo Center to set up the main stage for the 5th Annual Hot Sauce Expo. From professional chefs to lovers of all things spicy, this event was one hot ticket. The event was a rousing success and our crew had the opportunity to join in on all the festivities and try some savory signature sauces. 


We are excited  to see what the Summer will bring us!
