From the Principal
Dear Steele families,

As always, your feedback is very important to us. We have received a lot of feedback regarding our inside morning protocol.  Based on student, staff, and family input, we have decided to change our policy for what constitutes an inside morning. We will be outside as long as it is 25 degrees or higher. We will continue to use the "feels like" temperature, so if it says 25 degrees but feels like 15 degrees, we'll be inside. Students who are cold may go the cafeteria even if they are not eating breakfast, however they may not go back outside once they choose to come in.

As a reminder, there is no adult supervision before 7:50. Students must be part of Discovery Link in order to enter the building before 7:50.

In other news, I was informed by our cafeteria manager, Maria, that DPS has cancelled its contract for pizza delivery at schools. Starting March 1st, there will be no pizza served as part of our school lunch program. This is a district decision and cannot be changed at the school level.
