From the Principal
Dear Steele families,

Thank you for your continued support around Steele's non-student contact days . Linked here is the calendar for the 2020-2021 school year  . There will be 3 release days built in to support teacher learning, planning and data analysis. These days provide the opportunity for all staff to review student data, including social-emotional and behavioral needs, and plan for engaging, rigorous lessons that support ALL students.

While it has been reported that the district is considering an alternative schedule for schools with no AC, no decisions have been made at this time. At this point, we are planning with the attached calendar. If anything changes we will let you know.

Please review the calendar closely, as it is different from the district calendar. As always, let us know what questions you have.

Have a great weekend!

hometourVolunteer with the 2020 Wash Park Home Tour, 5/9
PTA Logo
The Wash Park Home Tour is an incredible fundraiser fo r our school.  The success of this event is largely due to the stellar efforts of our  parent volu n teers, and you can be one of them!  Whether you'd like to be at the center of all the action on the big day or you would prefer to be involved behind the scenes, there are plenty of ways to support this year's Home Tour in a manner that works for you and your schedule.

Volunteer opportunities include things like stuffing tote bags, distributing yard signs, directing guests through the homes and helping with the Street Fair.  House Captains play a critical role on the day of the Home Tour by providing direction and support to the House Monitors that are welcoming guests.  Many House Captains are needed, so please consider signing up for a shift.

Just visit the  Membership Tool Kit  and login to view all the volunteer needs and pick the date and time that work best for you. For more information, please contact  Nisha Ashley .
