Safety Concern
At Steele, we have many families that walk or ride their bikes to school each day. One issue that has presented a safety concern is families waiting in the bike lane on Marion between Virginia and Dakota before entering the Kiss and Drop lane. As a reminder, the Kiss and Drop lane is only between Dakota and Alameda. Please make sure you are aware of bikers and pedestrians as you drop your kids off.

Little Free Pantry: Steele Elementary at Alameda and Lafayette
The awesome Steele Strong Johnson Family built and installed a little free pantry to service the Steele community. It was built with the intention to "take what you need and leave what you can." Make sure to stop by this pantry if your family is in need or if you have extra nonperishables that you would like to share.
Be Part of It and Volunteer at Steele!
Thank you to all who have already signed up to volunteer with paper cutting and helping at arrival or recess. In addition, this week, we have 4 new opportunities to get involved at Steele! We have so many active families who will be leaving Steele at the end of the year as their 5th graders graduate. We need a whole new crew of volunteers to keep our Stallion Spirit going! Join us!
