Dear Steele Families,
Although we've been looking forward to “normal” times since the start of the pandemic, the arrival of normal has left many with conflicting feelings. As a school, we will continue to be supportive of our students, staff, and families as we adjust the COVID procedure and policy changes that went into effect this week. If you have questions about what those changes are and how they impact your child, please join us for our PTA meeting next Tuesday.
One of the great benefits to the COVID updates is that we can now gather as a community and we can’t wait to get started! We would like to invite our Steele community to participate in the celebration of Holi to bring in spring and honor the diverse cultures at Steele on Friday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m. on the school field.
In order to prepare for this celebration, have your students dress down (think paint clothes, white works the best) and talk to them about how to safely celebrate and spread the powder.
If you would like to learn more about Holi please click on this link.

Have a great weekend!

South High Fundraiser for Make a Wish Foundation:
Denver South High School invites you to meet their Wish Week Kid, Wren! Some of Wren's favorite things are candy
canes, hippopotamuses, playing soccer, science, being outside in nature, catching bugs, dinosaur fossils, volcanos, traveling and being with her family. Wren was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a baby, a condition that requires lots of treatments and takes meds for everyday.
The Denver South High School student senate is partnering with Steele to help fundraise for Wren through the Make a Wish Foundation. You can read about Wren's story here. Denver South will be hosting fundraising events with Steele and we hope you can be there!
