From the Clinic - Guidance for Returning to School After Illness:
Students may return to school after an illness following the guidelines listed below:
- With a negative COVID test, return after 24 hours fever free without medication and symptoms resolving.
- With NO COVID test, initial symptoms resolved within 24 hours of symptom onset OR student had only minor symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, body aches, headache, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea) and symptoms resolved within 48 hours OR at least 10 days have passed since symptom onset and 24 hours fever free without medicine.
- With a positive COVID test, 10 days have passed since symptom onset AND 24 hours fever free without medication.
Any student who has had a close contact with a positive COVID case will need to quarantine for 7-10 days following CDPHE guidance.
Remember: the best way to prevent the spread of COVID is to wear a mask, good handwashing and keep sick students home!

Volunteer Opportunities:
-
Recess: Thank you to those who have already volunteered at Recess/Lunch or who have signed up for a future date! We still need volunteers moving forward. It's a great time to say hello to your child and see them in action! *After you say hello to your child, check in with staff outside to find out where your help is needed. There's a lot of activity outside and we need your eyes on the action! You can find out more and sign up on Membership Toolkit.
-
Green Team: Help supervise children's recycling and composting during lunch. Contact Becky Goyton for more details.

Steele Family Directory:
Have you found it difficult to find contact information for classmates when planning a playdate or birthday party? Due to DPS policies around privacy, class contact lists can be hard to come by. The best way for parents to find contact information for other families is through the Steele Family Directory. This directory is a parent driven platform for those that would like to share their contact information. It is not populated by school registration information.
The information contained in the directory is made possible by parents adding their information to the Membership Toolkit platform. If you are interested, please make sure you have added your information to reflect your current contact information.
If you have been included previously, be sure to update the classroom and grade for your student. The platform is accessed here. There is also an app available for ease by searching "Membership Toolkit" on the Google or Apple app store. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kate.
