Wes Stefanick of Reading, Pennsylvania, will become the DAR Chief Executive Officer as of February 1.
“Wes will be a great fit for DAR with a broad range of experience and a bright future,” said Beau Zebley, 2020 DAR President. “The CEO search group chaired by Phil McGinnis (ALC, CCIM) of Dover, reviewed more than 60 applications, narrowed the search to five finalists, and hired their first choice.”
Stefanick has been the association executive for the Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS
(R-BAR) in Pennsylvania since May 2018. His duties there included management of its wholly owned subsidiary, Cornerstone Publications (Real Estate in Berks), as well as the R-BAR’s nonprofit benevolent fund, R-BAR Care.
McGinnis says, “Wes’s background includes not only REALTOR
association management, but government affairs experience and community outreach. We see Wes hitting the ground running on February 1, ensuring that our state association is poised for a successful 2020.”
Wes previously served as
Director of Government and Community Affairs for R-BAR, and as an aide to U.S. Representative Jim Gerlach in his Berks and Lebanon County offices as well as on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. He is also currently Chairman of Bellco Federal Credit Union and a volunteer for the Berks Military History Museum.
Stefanick received the Rising Star Award from the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2016. He has master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Public Administration from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.
