Redistricting Update

With a twist that only M. Night Shyamalan saw coming, the Dublin City School district has "pressed pause" on the high school redistricting efforts for this year. If you missed the official announcement from the District, check it out here.

This (hopefully) concludes any of my redistricting updates... until next year ;)

Gimme That Sugar!

With all the trick-or-treat opportunities I've told you about over the last few weeks, I'm sure you're swimming in candy.... so give it to me please.

I will be collecting candy on behalf of Feed The Kids Columbus to be included in their holiday break food bags, bringing a little extra joy to the kids they serve.

Last year, my dear readers filled the bin at my front porch with 73.4 pounds of candy! I am determined to beat that by at least 10 pounds. Starting today, the Big Pink Bin will be outside my door at 8016 Holyrood Court ready to collect your excess candy donations.

Sunday, November 2, 7p -- One of my favorite artists of all time, Colin Hay, will be playing at the Southern Theatre. Most know him as the lead singer of Men At Work but he and his guitar play a major role in making the Garden State soundtrack the GOAT of all millennial movie soundtracks. Tickets here. And if you can't make it, do yourself a favor and hop in the car, put on this album and listen to it top to bottom. It's just the best.

Today's community building tip is pretty simple... just a little change for how you talk to the people you run into.

How many times have you found yourself in a convo that goes like this:

Them: So great to run into you! We should totally get together sometime!

You: Yes let's definitely do that!

Them: Byeeeeee (both exit the scene never to see each other again).

Next time you find yourself in that scene, make it go a little more like this:

Them: So great to run into you! We should totally get together sometime!

You: Yes! Let's! Thursday evenings are pretty free for me... You want to get together Thursday the 6th?

Them: I'm free! It's a date!

You've got to be the one to put something on the calendar because everyone has gotten into the habit of saying they will and then never doing it.
