As the days continue to grow longer, there is all the more time to get your 10,000 steps in as you explore the Kenosha Area this spring! From seasonal attractions re-opening to favorite annual events taking place, there’s always a reason to visit our corner of Wisconsin.
Hit a birdie at a public golf course. Go birdwatching at a nature area and enjoy the spring migration. Take a hike; use our recommended 10,000 Steps routes for ideas of where to go. Let your canine play at a dog park. Bring your discs for a round of disc golf. Enjoy a bicycle ride; there are more than 130 miles of bike trails here. Book a charter fishing excursion. Go ziplining.
This month includes Easter events, the Dairy State Cheese & Beer Festival, the Lakeside Players production of Beauty and the Beast, Independent Bookstore Day with Blue House Books, and Studio Moonfall’s Kenosha Book Festival 2023 - Chapter One. New seasons begin for Wilmot Flea Market and self-guided tours at the historic Durkee Mansion. View Full Events Calendar>
The 2023 Wisconsin Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k take place on May 6 along Kenosha's beautiful Lake Michigan shore. There’s still time to register; a Big Cheese Medal will be waiting at the finish line for the marathon and half marathon participants! We welcome all the participants to our community and encourage you to check out the shops, restaurants, and attractions in Downtown Kenosha, and beyond.
Need new ideas for where to have a child’s birthday party in the Kenosha Area? We give you some in THIS BLOG POST. Create art at a DIY studio like Hot Mess Studios, Pinot’s Palette, or Alpaca Art; climb, swim, and play at the Kenosha YMCA; gather at Play Space for imaginative play; celebrate in the treetops at Boundless Adventures or at a Kenosha Kingfish baseball game; have a pool party; and more!
