The Education Group Welcomes Steve Blanchard

The Education Group is pleased to welcome Stephen Blanchard to our team as our most recent consultant. With 41 years of experience in independent school education, Steve brings a wealth of experience as a progressive and astute leader.

For more than 20 years, Steve served in executive roles with some of the country's most prestigious independent schools. He worked across borders to build partnerships among schools and grew admission and fundraising programs from the ground up. In 2000, he was elected to the Country Day Headmasters Association.

While at Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, he created two dual diploma programs in China, and helped Wasatch Academy get a license from the Chinese government to do education business in China. Wasatch Academy was one of the first United States schools to receive such approval from the Chinese government to provide a U.S. high school education in mainland China. He also raised a record amount of capital - more than $750,000 - while setting records each year in raising annual fund dollars.

As headmaster of Augusta Preparatory Day School in Augusta, Georgia, he was instrumental in increasing enrollment by 58 percent over a five-year period. He also increased the school's endowment from $44,000 to $2 million and led the school in a $4.5 million tax-exempt bond issue for the construction of a new lower and middle school building.

Steve began his career with Greenhill School in Dallas, Texas. He has served in several headships, including head of school for Augusta Preparatory Day School, Porter-Gaud School and St. Andrew's Episcopal School. He also led advancement and development efforts for All Saints Academy and Wasatch Academy. Knowing his experience and vast knowledge, several schools requested his leadership during interim periods. He served as interim head for Rancho Solano, The Khabele School (now called the Headwaters School) and New Garden Friends School.

The Education Group welcomes Steve to our team and knows he will be a valuable player in our clients' successes.
