A Message from Stewardship
Forward Together, In Faith, In Hope, In Love

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

A friend we knew here at St. Michael is someone that we would describe as “Overflowing with hope”. He was a wonderful model for the way to live our lives! Allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us with hope, and then sharing that hope with people in our community, country, and the world. Our Christian hope is the hope in God through His Son Jesus Christ. It is the confident affirmation that God is faithful, that He will complete what he has begun. It is also, therefore, that confident expectation which waits patiently and ardently for God’s purposes to be fulfilled.

Hope is distinct from the other two virtues, faith and love, because it is directed exclusively toward the future, as fervent desire and confident expectation. This is so important as St. Michael moves “Forward Together, in Faith, in Hope, in Love” in a time when the world is struggling. We have a wonderful opportunity to continue to come together as a congregation to make an impact in the lives of our own members, to provide hope through worship, teaching, music, fellowship, service, and prayer. Equally important we can continue to be a source of hope to people in our community through our support of Social Ministry, Luther House, Vacation Bible School, Concerts, Education, the use of our building and many more things.

We give thanks for your past generosity that has allowed us to faithfully support these programs which provide hope to those in need. We ask you to take time to reflect on your personal giving situation, and prayerfully consider your financial commitment to St. Michael for the coming year. When you are ready, please complete your pledge card and return it in the manner that is most convenient to you: mail back using the pre-addressed envelope, return to the Church Office or drop in the Offering Plate in the Narthex, or use the secure link to complete online.

Thank you,
