6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

-Philippians 4: 6-7

Dear Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church members and friends,

There have been several times in my life where I have come home after a hard day at work and the children have dinner on the table, the dishes are done, and the house is clean. It's hard to explain what a good feeling it is. There's a freedom in it; there's a scope in it; there's a grace in it.

That is exactly how you made me feel when I walked into Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church for the first time—to a beautiful, repaved driveway, a fixed and tight roof, updated heating and A/C systems, easy-to-care-for floors, and brand-new stucco.

I have one thing to say: thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you to the organizers, to our hardworking building and grounds team, to our finance team, to everyone who made winsome announcements, and to each of you who loved this church enough to make a gift. I am so happy to focus on all of you, on our growing ministry areas, on learning your history and stories, and on seeing how God is using all of us to meet the needs of this community.

Our theme for stewardship this year is "Thanks Upon Thanks." We are truly grateful for all that you have done, and we are so excited for the way God is calling Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church to serve.

Looking ahead, our church wants to continue our generous mission partnerships. As expenses go up, so do the needs all around us. Our finance team anticipates increases in our utility costs. Bringing in a new pastor is also a major investment. Our music program needs funds to purchase anthems and to bring in musicians for special days. As we reach out to the children and youth in our church and community, we want to show abundance, grace, and care.

We ask that you prayerfully consider increasing your pledge this year to help cover our growing expenses and to secure the vibrant future of Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church.

With deep gratitude,

Pastor Deborah
